The Devils Hand (1962)

Rick Turner is engaged of Donna Trent and is having nightmares with a beautiful blonde woman dancing in the sky. One night, he is mysteriously driven to a doll shop, and in the next morning he returns to the place with Donna. He finds a doll that resembles his fiancé, but the owner Francis Lamont delivers another doll to him, with the face of the woman of his dreams, Bianca Milan. Rick looks for Bianca and is seduced and convinced by her to join a sect that worships the diabolic Camba, while the health of Donna is threatened by Francis and Bianca. Starring Linda Christian, Robert Alda, and Ariadne Welter. Best not to go into those weird doll shops… a creepy, sexy horror movie.

Law of the Jungle (1942)

Nona Brooks, former member of a stranded theatrical troupe, earns a temporary living singing in a café in Duakwa, British Rhodesia, Africa. The café owner is secretly in league with two foreign agents with a goal of making the natives restless. American explorer Larry Mason leaves for the jungle with his servant, Jeff and a safari. Nona escapes the café into the jungle but is followed by the agents as, unknowing to her, she is carrying a report of the agent's activities. She joins the safari just as all hands are captured by a tribe of natives. Starring Arline Judge, John 'Dusty' King, and Mantan Moreland. A great safari-gorilla film of the 40s!

Drive in Massacre (1974)

You will never want to go to a drive-in again! Warning: The red stuff on your hot dog may not be ketchup!

Dressed to Kill (1946)

Sherlock Holmes is intrigued when Dr. Watson's friend, Julian 'Stinky' Emery, visits and tells them of a strange robbery at his flat the previous night. Stinky is an avid collector of music boxes and has several quite expensive pieces in his vast collection. The previous night, someone broke into his flat and knocked him unconscious when he tried to intervene. All they took however was a simple wooden music box he had bought at auction that day for a mere £2. The box was one of three available for sale and as Holmes and Watson begin to trace the other purchasers, it becomes apparent that someone will stop at nothing, including murder, to retrieve all three. When Holmes learns the identity of the music box maker, he is convinced it contains directions to the retrieval of something very valuable that the government has kept from the public. Starring Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, and Patricia Morison. Probably the best of all the Sherlock Holmes movies.

The Fatal Hour (1940)

A clever 40s murder mystery with Karloff as Detective Wong.

The Master Key (1945)

Also aiding in the quest is Police Chief William J. O'Brien and his secretary Dorothy Arnold. Starring Milburn Stone, Jan Wiley, and Dennis Moore. One of the great WWII spy serials!

The Bat (1959)

Thus the lonely country house soon becomes the site of many mysterious and dangerous activities. Starring Vincent Price, Agnes Moorehead, and Gavin Gordon. A great 50s haunted house movie!

Mandrake the Magician (1939)

Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome (1947)

A gang of criminals, which includes a piano player and an imposing former convict known as 'Gruesome', has found out about a scientist's secret formula for a gas that temporarily paralyzes anyone who breathes it. When Gruesome accidentally inhales some of the gas and passes out, the police think he is dead and take him to the morgue, where he later revives and escapes. This puzzling incident attracts the interest of Dick Tracy, and when the criminals later use the gas to rob a bank, Tracy realizes that he must devote his entire attention to stopping them. Starring Boris Karloff, Ralph Byrd, and Anne Gwynne. Karloff is great as Gruesome. The comic strip come to life!

Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941)

On a scientific expedition to Siam young Billy Batson is given the ability to change himself into the super-powered Captain Marvel by the wizard Shazam, who tells him his powers will last only as long as the Golden Scorpion idol is threatened. Finding the idol, the scientists realize it could be the most powerful weapon in the world and remove the lenses that energize it, distributing them among themselves so that no one would be able to use the idol by himself. Back in the US, Billy Batson, as Captain Marvel, wages a battle against an evil, hooded figure, the Scorpion, who hopes to accumulate all five lenses, thereby gaining control of the super-powerful weapon. Captain Marvel's is granted his powers by 6 patron deities, whose name spells his catch-phrase “Shazam.” The deities are Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. Queen of the Jungle (1935)

Young David Worth and Joan Lawrence are children with a group of explorers that are seeking African radium deposits. They are playing in the basket of the party’s air balloon when the bag takes off with Joan aboard, last seen sailing over the back-lot jungle. A flash forward of about 18 years finds that the now-adult David Worth has returned to Africa to search for his long-lost childhood friend. Unknown to David, she was discovered by an African tribe and became their queen. He hits the trail and is quickly captured by jungle tribesmen. Starring Mary Kornman, Marilyn Spinner, and Reed Howes. A lost retro-jungle girl serial from the 30s!

Invisible Ghost (1941)

Charles Kessler (Bela Lugosi) is plagued by homicidal urges. His wife (Betty Compson), who had left him for another man, gets into a car accident that leaves her brain damaged and is kept in a cellar in secret, by Kessler's gardener. When an innocent man is executed for a murder Kessler committed in the house, his twin brother visits and tries to unravel the mystery. He discovers that Kessler is the killer and doesn't know it. His brother subdues him and contacts the police, who arrest Kessler.

Mr. Moto’s Last Warning (1937)

A Japanese man claiming to be Mr. Moto, of the International Police, is abducted and murdered soon after disembarking from a ship at Port Said in Egypt. The real Mr. Moto is already in Port Said, investigating a conspiracy against the British and French governments. The dead man was his colleague, impersonating him to throw the conspirators off his scent. Mr. Moto recognizes one of the conspirators as a British Secret Service agent, and together they discover that the gang have mined the harbor in preparation for the arrival of the French fleet. Their aim is to throw the blame onto the British, which may start a second World War. Starring Peter Lorre, Ricardo Cortez, and Virginia Field. A great movie with lots of pre-WWII intrigue!

Mr Wong Detective (1938)

When a chemical manufacturer is killed after asking detective James Wong to help him, Wong investigates this and two subsequent murders. He uncovers a international spy ring hoping to steal the formula for a poison gas being developed by the first victim's company. Starring Boris Karloff, Grant Withers, and Maxine Jennings. No mad scientist can out smart this detective!

The Devil Bat (1941)

Dr. Carruthers feels bitter at being betrayed by his employers, Heath and Morton, when they became rich as a result of a product he devised. He gains revenge by electrically enlarging bats and sending them out to kill his employers' family members by instilling in the bats a hatred for a particular perfume he has discovered, which he gets his victims to apply before going outdoors. Starring Bela Lugosi, Suzanne Kaaren, and Dave O'Brien. Maybe the Devil Bat is really a Chupacabra!

Bowery At Midnight Bela Lugosi (1942)

Kindly soup kitchen operator and professor of criminology Karl Wagner uses his soup kitchen as a front for a criminal gang who commit a series of daring robberies and murders. When things get out of hand, Wagner kills his henchmen, who wind up as zombies in the cellar of the soup kitchen. Starring Bela Lugosi, John Archer, and Wanda McKay. A strange retro-zombie-thriller!

Robot Monster (1953)

Rutherford's will won't be read until he is properly entombed and the heirs are forced to stay on the premises or be denied their inheritance.
