A great warrior is protecting a slave girl, who is really a princess, and winds up as a gladiator in the Roman arena. Starring Gordon Scott, Wandisa Guida, and Roberto Risso. A pretty good gladiator movie with scantily clad women and gladiator combat. At one point the Gladiator and the women are crucified on X-crosses, similar to a scene in BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES. Is this movie the inspiration for the mega-hit movie: GLADIATOR?
